An Introduction to our New Technology for a Low-cost Nebulizer
After conducting a study aimed at putting a revolutionary low-cost nebulizer into practicable form, we have successfully developed a spray principle (patent applied for) which makes significant cost reductions possible. Employing this technology, we expect that we can make low-cost medical equipment for the treatment for asthma commercially viable, and in doing so, we will be able to save the lives of many asthma sufferers who currently cannot afford treatment. The WHO has also called for such an initiative.
The outstanding feature of this new technology is that it makes it possible to produce a spray with a 3~6 volt battery-operated, low-performance pump (less than 0.06MPa air pressure, less than 1.0NL/min air capacity). Consequently, we estimate lower costs than have been seen until now to both commercialize and produce devices with exceptional spray capabilities. So far, the results of examples of a trial manufacturing feasibility study have yielded a maximum amount of spray of more than 0.3ml/min, and a minimum diameter particle of VMD 6μm (approximation of MMAD). Going forward, on receiving requests from nebulizer makers, we will conduct production of trial products seeking to match their required specifications, and we will (with certain conditions attached) cede the new technology to them.
